Add New Accounts

          Just eliminating the negatives on your credit report may not be enough to give you the credit score you’re looking for.  You may need to add some new accounts that report open and active and show a regular on time history of payment to reach your score goal.

          Adding new accounts can sometimes be a real challenge if you have no credit score or a score that ranks in the poor category.   But it’s not impossible. We will provide guidance and some specific direction as to lenders who are more friendly and understanding to folks who may be rebuilding their credit score.  If you have very few or no active accounts currently then opening new accounts is extremely important and you will have to do the follow through.  Our goal is to help guide you so this is much less of a challenge than you think it’s going to be.

Additionally, we will coach you on “How” to use your accounts to produce the highest score.  Most consumers do not realize that two credit reports with essentially the same accounts can have credit scores that may differ by more than 100 points based on how those accounts are used.  So, even if you already have a sufficient number of open active accounts, we may be making suggestions that you make some specific changes with your accounts in order to increase your credit score as much as possible.
